THE LEAGUE OF UTAH WRITERS
The League of Utah Writers is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering friendship, education, and encouragement to the poets and writers of Utah. New members are always welcome.
Our organization is dedicated to the encouragement and improvement of all writers in their writing skills. Members are writers and poets with various interests at all levels of skill and professionalism, and they meet in local chapters around the state to write, read, and discuss their work. They share ideas and expertise on the art of writing. Special guests may be invited to address chapter meetings.
Chapter meetings are open to the public and new members are always welcome. For more information, contact the president of the chapter nearest you.
The League of Utah Writers is funded through State and Federal grants and Donations. You can make a donation by following the link below.

There are many benefits to belonging to the League of Utah Writers. First and perhaps most importantly, you will connect with the writing community, both in your immediate area and across the state. In your local chapter, you'll find critique groups, beta readers, chances to network, information about publishing opportunities, and moral support. At the League's conferences and events, you'll learn from published authors and industry experts about writing craft, marketing, and more. The League offers its own creative writing contest and a chance to be published in an annual anthology. You'll also receive discounted admission to League events and access to the League's on-line resources.
For any questions, please contact Bruce D. Richardson.
Thank you in advance for all you do to make the League of Utah Writers a wonderful and exciting association to be part of.

“LUW has been a great resource to refine my writing, make connections with other writers, and develop lasting friendships. Critiquing with others is so important since I feel writing is such a shared art.”
“ Being a part of the LUW has given our members access to writing, contest, and conference opportunities not readily available in our area.”
"Being part of LUW has broadened my horizons in the writing world. I've learned so much from attending these groups, from critiquing to how to write better. I'll never look at a book the same way again."
"I love this organization and some of my most cherished friends and moments have been shared together. I’ve learned so much about writing."
